Resource Roundup

Every other Friday, NACo's Resource Roundup highlights opportunities, reports, upcoming events and other tools for NACo members.

Explore below, and be sure to check your inboxes tomorrow for This Week in Photos, as well as on on Monday for Policy Insider, going deep on federal advocacy content, and Thursday for CN Now, featuring the latest from NACo's County News.

Celebrate National County Government Month

Held each April, National County Government Month is an opportunity for counties to raise awareness of local programs and services, celebrate the county workforce and strengthen civic engagement. To help counties join the celebration, NACo has developed a toolkit with ready-to-use materials to help plan activities and tell the county story.

  • Start with the toolkit: Access template press releases, sample social media posts, graphics, logos and other resources to support local outreach.
  • Choose your focus: The toolkit is organized into three areas — telling your county’s story, highlighting the county workforce and boosting civic engagement — making it easy to align resources with your county’s goals.
  • Civic engagement tools: Use NACo’s full suite of civic engagement resources, including the Counties Work game and K-12 curriculum, county-level research and our We Are Counties campaign to educate and engage residents.

We Are Counties. We Are 3,069 Strong.

From urban to rural, large to small, America’s counties, parishes and boroughs keep our communities healthy, vibrant and safe.

Join the movement as part of your National County Government Month celebrations.
