November 2025

Escape Room Trainings

Held Across Maryland

MD Project Firstline conducted Escape Room training sessions in November across several Maryland counties, including Baltimore, Washington, Anne Arundel, and Allegany. The sessions were well received, with enthusiastic participation from the employees at Edenwald, Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home, Complete Care and Allegany County Health Department.

It was a pleasure working with these facilities, and we appreciate the Fahrney Keedy team for referring us to their other facility in Washington County.

MD Project Firstline would especially like to thank the team at Allegany County Health Department for hosting an escape room. We rely on the local health departments to promote this training opportunity and have been working with most of the local health departments to ensure that healthcare workers and environmental services/housekeeping staff in Maryland healthcare settings receive this training from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We were honored to celebrate National Rural Health Day with your staff!

Adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2020 and observed on December 27, the International Day of Epidemic Preparedness highlights the urgent need to invest in systems that can prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease outbreaks.

Respiratory virus season is nothing new, but some years, it just feels different. The best we can do is keep sharing what we know: cough etiquette, source control, and good hand hygiene. We can also encourage family and friends to get their flu shot.

The CDC recommends an annual flu shot for everyone 6 months and older. Vaccines are widely available at doctors’ offices, pharmacies, and other convenient locations. If you are symptom-free, consult your healthcare provider and schedule your flu shot today.

Respiratory virus season is in full swing, so it is timely to observe the following weeks:

National Influenza Vaccination Week: December 6-12

It is not too late to get your flu vaccine! Prepare yourself and your family for the holidays by making sure that everyone six months of age and older gets their annual flu shot.

National Handwashing Awareness Week: December 7-13

Hand hygiene is always the correct answer! Review the reasons why it is important to wash your hands to stop the spread of germs by watching this short video.

The team at MD Project Firstline wishes you and yours a peaceful, healthy Thanksgiving and a joyful holiday season!
