Hantavirus Resources

A recent outbreak of Andes virus, a type of hantavirus, has been reported among the passengers and crew aboard a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Although most hantaviruses are transmitted through exposure to the urine, saliva, or feces of infected rodents, the Andes virus is unique in its ability to spread from person to person.

Critical care clinicians should remain vigilant and prepared to recognize symptoms. Here are some resources that will help you stay prepared:

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is now accepting submissions for systematic review topics. PCORI seeks to fund systematic reviews that support the development of evidence-based practice guidelines or practice recommendations.


PCORI is accepting nominations for topics that would benefit from patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research to address important questions faced by clinicians.
