A Message from Amigos President & CEO Miguel Figueroa

While many of us are just starting our semesters and/or just recovering from summer reading and learning season, here at Amigos we are embarking on Fall conference season. We look forward to this time of the year when we have the opportunity to connect with staff from member and partner libraries across our region. Over the next several months, we hope to see you at the Texas Council of Academic Libraries Annual Conference (September 20 - 22); the annual conferences for the Arizona Library Association (October 21 – 23), Arkansas Library Association (October 16 – 18), Kansas Library Association (October 28 – 30), and Missouri Library Association (October 6 – 7); and the Library Marketing and Communications Conference (November 11 – 12).

And we have no shortage of things to talk about – from the upcoming initiatives laid out in our new strategic framework; new member benefits like two years’ access to ACRL’s and PLA’s Benchmark tools; and our ongoing efforts to provide quality continuing education, valuable discounts on electronic resources, and new technology solutions for your library.
