December Online Conference Call for Proposals Now Open


Amigos invites proposals for individual or panel sessions at its upcoming online conference, Practical Paths to the AI-Enhanced Library, on December 10, 2025.

Generative AI is reshaping library services—from streamlining workflows to enhancing discovery and engagement. If you're using AI in cataloging, instruction, outreach, or service design, we want to hear from you - submit your proposal by October 17, 2025.

Education & Events

‌Second Session Added for Book Repair Training

As a result of high demand, an afternoon session (1:00-4:00 pm) has been added to the schedule for the in-person book repair training offered on October 22, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. Space is limited, so sign up today.

Join preservation expert Rebecca Elder for a practical, in-person session designed to equip library staff with essential repair techniques like reattaching pages, mending paper, and tightening hinges. Attendees will leave with a set of basic book repair tools and are asked to bring their own deaccessioned library books for practice.

‌Panelists Announced for October Community Conversation

The next Amigos Community Conversation, Recognizing and Cultivating In-House Talent, takes place on Wednesday, October 2nd at 1:00 pm Central.
