‌Amigos Member Conference 2026 Registration Open, CFP Closing Soon

Registration is officially open for the Amigos Member Conference 2026, sponsored by Lexis-Nexis. Happening online on Wednesday, May 13, this year's conference celebrates the innovation, adaptability, and resilience that define libraries today. Join fellow members for a day of inspiring ideas and conversations centered on this year's theme: "The Ways We Thrive". Beginning with an opening keynote from Edward Melton, Executive Director of Harris County Public Library, the conference will include the Annual Member Business Meeting, board election results, and several concurrent sessions.

Interested in presenting? The Call for Proposals closes Friday, April 10, so don’t wait! Amigos members are encouraged to submit proposals for 45‑minute individual or panel sessions that highlight practical insights, creative approaches, and lessons learned. Sessions will be presented online, with full technical support and moderation provided by Amigos staff.

Libraries are continually finding new ways to support staff with diverse cognitive, sensory, and workplace needs, and our next Community Conversation will offer practical guidance to strengthen inclusion in your own environment. On Wednesday, April 9, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Central, Amigos will host Adaptive Services for Staff Success, a live-only discussion focused on identifying barriers, adjusting workflows, and creating emotionally safe spaces where staff can thrive.
