The Hive Call for Proposals Now Open 

Amigos Library Services invites proposals for panelists for the next session in our educational series, The Hive, taking place on Tuesday, October 29, 2026, from 1–2 pm Central. Submit your proposal for The Hive: Quick Wins for Improving Digital Accessibility Proposals through the online form by September 4, 2026. Share practical tools, strategies, and small changes that can make a big impact on the accessibility of library resources, services, and online content.

The Hive is designed to feature speakers from across the Amigos membership who want to share their best tips and tricks on the selected topic. These 60-minute sessions offer multiple speakers the opportunity to present brief 8–10-minute sessions followed by Q&A for the individual panelists.

Save the date, September 23, 2026, for the next Amigos Library Services topical online conference, The Flexible Library. This online conference will include a keynote and a diverse selection of concurrent sessions for learners. Registration opening soon, and - as always - registration will be free for members.

Libraries continuously reflect creative and forward-thinking in their staffing, funding, and programming models. The Flexible Library explores the many ways libraries can lean into change with flexibility.

Amigos is introducing Digital Repository Service Office Hours, a new monthly series designed for libraries and cultural heritage institutions interested in learning more about Hyku, a community-supported digital repository platform for organizations of all types and sizes.

These 1-hour sessions begin with a specific theme each month, followed by an open Q&A.

Office Hours are open to all libraries, including both current users of the Amigos Digital Repository Service and those interested in learning more about Hyku.
