Small Diameter VisiPatch® Patch Cord
CommScope is introducing a smaller diameter 28AWG VP360 Category 6A cord to the VisiPatch 360® portfolio allowing installers to dress the cords much “cleaner” into the switches in the network cabinets. They are available in VP360-VP360 plugs configuration as well as VP 360-RJ45 plugs configuration.

Small Diameter Cables
CommScope’s small diameter CAT6A cables are engineered for full performance while taking up less space in cable pathways.

A Poly/Aluminum/Poly Tape layer (shown in black in the diagram) reduces alien crosstalk. Note that because the tape is encased in poly, it is not considered a shield in the conventional sense. The cable is classified as UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) and does not require bonding.

This design, found in SYSTIMAX® 2091SDB and Uniprise® CS44PSD CAT6A cables features an O.D. (outer diameter) of 6.325 mm/0.249 inches. For comparison, 2091B and CS44P CAT6A cables are 7.239 mm/0.285 inches.

Our online Cabling and Pathways Estimator Tool makes it easy to calculate how much space can be saved with our small diameter Category 6A cables:

300mm x 100mm (12” x 4”) cable tray at a 40% fill ratio can accommodate 291 SYSTIMAX 2091B cables, while the same cable tray at 40% fill will hold 382 SYSTIMAX 2091SDB cables.
A 1” (27mm) conduit at 40% fill allows for 5 SYSTIMAX 2091B cables. Change to SYSTIMAX 2091SD and you can fit 7 cables in the same conduit at 40% fill.
