Color coding is a widely used and effective method for identifying different network applications. When it comes to copper networks, several color-coded options are commonly used to distinguish between various functions including: 

• Jacks
• Patch cords 
• Patch Cord Clips
• Patch Cord Pull Tab
• RJ45 Port Blockers 

Fiber optic systems use color coding to identify different types of optical fibers. For example, indoor OM4 fiber is typically aqua, while singlemode fiber is usually yellow. In addition to these standard color codes, many customers choose to implement additional color distinctions to further differentiate fiber systems. This practice not only enhances organization but can also serve as an added layer of physical network security.

Some effective methods for distinguishing and securing a fiber system include:

G2 Splice Cassettes fit into any of our G2 EPX or HD panels for density up to 96F (48 duplex LC) per RU adding flexibility to any configuration.

Options include:

• OM4 and OM5 Multimode or Single Mode
• Straight or Enhanced Method B polarity
• Stranded pigtails, Ribbon Pigtails, or no Pigtails (splice holder and SMOUV splice protectors included with all versions)
• LC or SC interface in either UPC or APC

Sustainability Report 2025

CommScope is making great progress in fulfilling our sustainability commitments while driving industry innovation, but we remain acutely aware of the work that still remains. The new 2025 Report is here.

On the environmental section we achieved great numbers:

• 44.1% reduction in market-based Scope 1+2 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions compared to 2019 base year
• 44.2% reduction in Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions compared to 2019 base year
• Expanded our life cycles assessment (LCA) program and published environmental product declarations (EPDs) on our website 
• Continued to ensure our products meet global regulations including RoHS, WEEE and REACH regulations.
• Continued to focus on eliminating single-use plastics (SUP) across all business segments 
• Continued to reduce packaging through redesign and use post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and/or post-industrial (PIR) content in our packaging
