Dear Bobcat:
This is an exciting time to wear maroon and gold! As we kick off athletic events this fall, I challenge you to show off your Bobcat pride by packing the stands for every game. Last year, the TXST student section was the heart and soul of our athletics events, and it gave us the edge that our teams needed. This year, let’s make it even bigger! Your energy, your cheers, and your spirit will make all the difference. So, grab your friends, head to the games, and let’s roar louder than ever before! Let’s go, Bobcats!
As you may know, this is our final season in the Sun Belt Conference before we join the Pac-12, and we want to go out on top. You have the power to help us finish strong. The passion and pride you bring to each game fuels our teams and creates the kind of atmosphere that puts TXST on the national map. Let’s pack the stands and show everyone that Bobcat fans are Sun Belt proud and Pac-12 ready. Together, let’s make this final Sun Belt season one to remember.
As a reminder, students receive FREE admission to all home TXST athletic events! Simply present your valid TXST ID using the TXST Mobile App and scan it at the entrance. We recommend students download the app before heading to UFCU Stadium or other athletic venues and have their mobile ID ready to show upon arrival.
“We Are Bobcats” means we are loud, we are proud, we show school spirit, and we celebrate our successes. We also combine our enthusiastic support with good sportsmanship and crowd safety. Here are ways every Bobcat can contribute:
- Be a great TXST ambassador. When you see visiting fans and teams on campus, give them a warm Bobcat welcome.
- Recognize that when we are in the stands, we serve as role models to those around us. Please consider that when deciding how to express yourself at games.
- This year, we are placing added emphasis on prohibiting items thrown from the stands onto playing surfaces (e.g., fields and courts). It is not permissible to throw anything—including into endzones and team bench areas.
- TXST officials, including university police, administrators, and game day personnel, will be enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for unruly behavior. Any fan not complying with appropriate conduct may be removed. If you witness unacceptable behavior, inform event personnel or a law enforcement officer.
TXST is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone. Let’s make every day a great day to be a Bobcat!
Take each day as an opportunity to show your TXST Bobcat Pride. Post your photos on social media using the hashtag #EatEmUp and #TXST, and tag @txstatebobcats on Facebook, Twitter (X), and Instagram. You can also tag @txst on all platforms, and tag me at @kdamp on Twitter (X) or @kdamp63 on Instagram.

I’m excited to join you as we cheer for our fellow Bobcats this fall! Don’t be surprised to find my wife Beth and me sitting beside you in the stands—we love TXST Athletics!
Go Bobcats!
