Dear Student Affairs Colleagues,

I would like to encourage you to participate in CSUSM's inaugural Staff Development Conference tomorrow, June 10, from 8 a.m. to noon in the USU Ballroom.

Hosted by the Staff Center, this conference is centered on the theme, Facing the Future Together: Celebrating Resilience. The theme feels especially timely as we reflect on the many ways our staff continue to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, care, and commitment in support of our students and one another.

Managers have been encouraged to support participation whenever operationally feasible, and I hope many of you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to connect, learn, and invest in your professional growth.

Employee learning and professional development remain important priorities for our division. We look forward to sharing more information about Student Affairs learning and development offerings in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, I encourage you to participate in this campus-wide conference and learn alongside colleagues from across CSUSM.

Thank you for all you do each day to support our students and contribute to our campus community.

Warmly,

Viridiana Diaz, Ed.D.
