An Important Message from Vice President for Student Affairs Viridiana Diaz
Each semester, our campus may receive mandated Clery timely warnings about incidents of sexual assault or violence. The beginning of the semester is often referred to as the “red zone,” a time when college students may be at increased risk of experiencing sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence. Receiving these messages can be concerning, and they are an important reminder of why we must continue talking openly about prevention, consent, reporting and the support available to our community.
Sexual Violence Advocacy and Education, within Student Health and Counseling Services, is available for faculty, staff and students. We have caring professionals at CSUSM who are here to listen, connect you with resources and help you understand your options. To schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with a campus advocate, please email advocates@csusm.edu or call 760-750-4915.
To talk with someone after hours, please call the Center for Community Solutions crisis line, available 24/7, at 888-385-4657. Please check our community resources list.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by sexual harm and would like to file a report of sexual assault or violence with the university, please visit the Title IX reporting link.
