Next week is workforce week at NACo
November 18–22 will be workforce week at NACo as we release new reports, talk about NACo EDGE solutions and share content about the county workforce on social media.
Why it matters: With 3.6 million employees, the county workforce accounts for one in 50 working Americans.
Counties for Career Success: A program we'll be featuring next week, this NACo initiative recognizes the role of counties in streamlining pathways to good jobs and supporting individuals on those learning journeys.
The application deadline is approaching for NACo’s Criminal Justice Coordinating Councils Peer Exchange. This 1.5-day event is an opportunity for representatives from a criminal justice coordinating council (CJCC) or other similar county-level entity to take part in peer learning and networking, hear from experts in the field, share successes and brainstorm solutions to common criminal justice challenges.
Selection details: NACo will select up to eight criminal justice coordinating councils, with two representatives per county, to be a part of this peer-learning event.
How to apply: Review the information sheet and application details here. Applications are due by November 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Timeline: Selected counties will be notified in December.
