Clean energy developments bring both opportunities and challenges for counties and there is not an easily accessible clearinghouse of resources to support local governments in navigating this rapidly evolving industry. To meet the need, NACo has launched a clean energy initiative to engage directly with members to identify member perspectives and create customized tools and resources that will support our members in managing clean energy developments, including model ordinances, permitting and community benefit planning and agreements.
